Fiber Flatwork, Maple frame, scatter wound and wax potted
This set was based on an early 60's P-90 set voiced to bring out that bark, bite, grit and growl, a touch hotter than the originals.

David, I talked to you earlier today..... I installed the Cool Cats in my Collings 290, a single cut Jr. type guitar. It came with l#**#~•, which were terrible, the bridge sounded like a half caked wah wah pedal. I then installed W#*^+%~&!, which were nice but too dull. Your pups sound amazing, just the right balance in my guitar, airy and 3D. They sound great cranked through a Marshall channel and also through my AC. The neck is clear and not over bloated...just right! Thanks for getting them out to me so fast too! Joe

I have tried them all, yeah all of them . Cool cats are the frakin bomb. everything a P 90 should be. Frakin Badass....

I recently purchased a set of Cool Cat P-90 pickups for a Fender Blacktop Jaguar.  The stock pickups were rather anemic sounding.  When I get the Cool Cats installed the guitar just came alive!  Absolutely HUGE sounding with great definition, sweetness,  and girth.  Play em' soft and they make you cry--play em' hard and they'll blow your mind.  Just outstanding.  Thanks David as always.  You are a true pickup winding artist.

Tom was FOH for Alice in Chains, Marilyn Manson, Metallica, Garbage, Shakira, and now Keith Urban
I always kept it because it played great and looked great. But I never played it much because it just never
sounded much like anything. Really dead sounding - no life - no attack....nothing close to classic P90 chunk.
I put a set of 60's Cool Cats put in my "troublemaker" LP. Plugged it into a JTM45 clone - and there it was!
All the depth, chunk, air and responsiveness I always envisioned this guitar should have. I picked lightly, and it
was clean and belly - I picked hard and it was Malcom Young with my pant legs flapping. I rolled back the volume
and there was no muffled tone - clean and clear. The Cool Cats took the guitar out of the case and it now lives
on the kwik-grab stand right next to the amp as it has become the go to heavy rhythm guitar for virtually anything --
distorted or clean.

Great job D. Allen pickups - you made my old LP better than when it was new.
